The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Section 3 program requires that recipients of certain HUD financial assistance, to the greatest extent possible, provide training, employment, contracting and other economic opportunities to low- and very low-income persons, especially recipients of government assistance for housing, and to businesses that provide economic opportunities to low- and very low-income persons.

Hosted by the Hampton Roads Association of Real Estate Brokers (HRAREB), this event presents representatives of Hampton Roads’ Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) to discuss the benefits, qualifications, and how to access their HUD Section 3 contracting program. Program administrators from Newport News, Norfolk and Portsmouth will introduce small businesses in the region to contracting and employment opportunities with their respective agencies. Come learn about their programs and opportunities and how you or your company may benefit from this relatively unknown HUD program!
