James R. Boyd is a career Healthcare Administrator with extensive government service in healthcare management and program development. Board certified and credentialed by a premier professional association, he has achieved the highest level of status within that organization. A retired Naval officer with multiple assignments in hospital and medical commands worldwide, he successfully completed a second career as a healthcare executive for the Commonwealth of Virginia.

James holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of the State of New York, a M.A. in Management (Healthcare Administration) from Central Michigan University, an M.B.A. from Averett University, and a ThD from Christian Bible College and Seminary. He served as an Associate Pastor for Calvary Chapel Virginia Beach for over 10+ years, co-founder and Director of Charthouse Bible College, and a Volunteer Chaplain for the Virginia Department of Corrections. He is Senior Pastor and founder of Seed of Faith Ministry, a non-denominational ministry that has been active for 17 years. As a former member of CBN/Regent Toastmasters, he has attained Advanced Communicator and Advanced Leader status.

James is the CEO of Diligent Business Service, a personal development company specializing in coaching, consulting, and strategic planning services. He is currently working on additional professional certification as an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.

Ms. L. Sevena Davenport manages the Office of Economic Opportunities for the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA), including Regional Section 3 compliance in accordance with the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 for eight public housing agencies across Hampton and one municipality. She serve as the Supplier Diversity Manager to heighten awareness of economic opportunities in an effort to increase inclusion of minorities and women in the NRHA procurement process. And, she promotes and markets NRHAs commitment to diversity in procurement and represens their interests before other government agencies, outreach groups, internal and external commissions, contractors and the general public.

Ms. Davenport served as an Economic Development Specialist for NRHA, where she was the administrator for various federal grants that supported workforce development and training for public housing citizens in the City of Norfolk; coordinated educational, training and employment services, and managed business development and training activities, including micro-loan program and loan portfolio for emerging and advancing entrepreneurs.

Ms. Davenport earned her B.S. in Business Management from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA and a M.S. in Public Administration from Troy State University in Troy, AL.

After retiring from federal service, Mr. Harold W. Doctor, Jr. founded Logistics Professionals, LLC (LogPro) in 2013. LogPro is a supply chain and logistics firm specializing in cost reduction and process improvements. His areas of expertise include logistics & transportation, negotiations, operations management, project management, budget planning, best practices, industry benchmarking, inventory control & purchasing.

While serving in the federal service Harold became the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Commander, Naval Air Forces Reserve (CNAFR) Aviation Logistics Directorate in August 2009. He directly supported the Aviation Logistics Branch that is responsible for supporting the Naval Reserve's 203 Navy and Marine Corps aircraft and provides Logistics support to over 60,000 professionals with-in our Naval Air Forces Reserves. He is charged with providing Staff and tenant level support, policy, and guidance for management to Commander Fleet Logistic Support Wing (CFLSW), Commander Tactical Support Wing (CTSW), Forth Marine Aviation Wing (4th MAW) and all supporting the Aviation Supply Department (ASD) management and contracting support.

Prior to reporting to Commander, Naval Air Forces Reserve, he served as the Lead Supply Systems Analyst for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, (SPAWAR) Norfolk Virginia responsible for the Relational Supply (RSupply) implementation planning, database testing, logistics systems training and management and supply chain management system on-site at 13 Naval Air Station, Aviation Support Departments (ASD).

Mr. Doctor is a native of Saint Helena Island, South Carolina and has served 20 years active duty Naval Services. He is a recipient of numerous Medals and Achievements with several other personal and unit awards from his uniformed service.

Dr. Cathy M. Jackson is an Associate Professor of Humanities at Norfolk State University (Norfolk, VA), where she lectures in ethics; global journalism; multiculturalism and the mass media; society and mass media; history of film; film criticism and current issues in the mass media; undergraduate skills classes in writing web-based news stories; beginning reporting, writing for various media, advanced reporting, and copy editing; and, graduate lectures in introduction to mass communication and global journalism.

Dr. Jackson previously served as Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Missouri, and as a Journalism Instructor at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has extensive experience as a free-lance writer and reporter for numerous publications, including: BlackAmericaWeb.com; The Charlotte Observer and Community Pride Magazine, Charlotte, NC; Urban Business Magazine, Tampa, FL; Essence Magazine, New York, NY; and, The Orlando Sentinel, Orlando, FL. She served as Copy Editor for the Columbia Missourian at the University of Missouri.

Dr. Jackson is an accomplished author, co-author, presenter, and lecturer. She earned her B.S.in Mass Communications from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS, an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, and a Ph.D. in Journalism (journalism history, media and culture emphasis) from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia, MO.

Kezia Hendricks is a highly skilled financial coach and community volunteer since 2004. She has over 10 years of experience in training, developing and teaching youth and young adults. What distinguishes her from others is that she understands the strategic needs of individuals who desire to improve their financial picture whether it’s to become a home owner or to structure their finances for success. Kezia has a special interest to penetrate the community and create an incubator to grow leaders, young & old through servitude.

Kezia is determined to uncover real life financial strategies to be financially responsible. She currently teaches financial literacy at community events, businesses and high schools in the Hampton Roads area. Kezia is currently a committee member of the Urban League Young professional, Project Ready, a financial literacy instructor with Bank On of Hampton Roads and founder of Smart Money Kids University Program. Her career started with the Navy Marine Corp Relief society as a financial caseworker volunteer for 4 years. She later transition to a Marketing Director with Chick-Fil-A.

Kezia received an opportunity to work daily with individuals and their finances when she joined the Wells Fargo Co. family as a personal banker in 2013. Her passion to help individual with their finances, prepared her for her current position as a Home Mortgage Consultant. She holds an Associate’s degree in social science and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s in Sociology with a minor in Marketing.
