After retiring from federal service, Mr. Harold W. Doctor, Jr. founded Logistics Professionals, LLC (LogPro) in 2013. LogPro is a supply chain and logistics firm specializing in cost reduction and process improvements. His areas of expertise include logistics & transportation, negotiations, operations management, project management, budget planning, best practices, industry benchmarking, inventory control & purchasing.
While serving in the federal service Harold became the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Commander, Naval Air Forces Reserve (CNAFR) Aviation Logistics Directorate in August 2009. He directly supported the Aviation Logistics Branch that is responsible for supporting the Naval Reserve's 203 Navy and Marine Corps aircraft and provides Logistics support to over 60,000 professionals with-in our Naval Air Forces Reserves. He is charged with providing Staff and tenant level support, policy, and guidance for management to Commander Fleet Logistic Support Wing (CFLSW), Commander Tactical Support Wing (CTSW), Forth Marine Aviation Wing (4th MAW) and all supporting the Aviation Supply Department (ASD) management and contracting support.
Prior to reporting to Commander, Naval Air Forces Reserve, he served as the Lead Supply Systems Analyst for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, (SPAWAR) Norfolk Virginia responsible for the Relational Supply (RSupply) implementation planning, database testing, logistics systems training and management and supply chain management system on-site at 13 Naval Air Station, Aviation Support Departments (ASD).
Mr. Doctor is a native of Saint Helena Island, South Carolina and has served 20 years active duty Naval Services. He is a recipient of numerous Medals and Achievements with several other personal and unit awards from his uniformed service.
