The community development mission of Virginia Housing and Community Development Corporation (VHCDC) is to educate and empower individuals, families and minority business owners to build wealth, access capital and credit, and achieve home ownership. We counsel and guide first-time home buyers to homeownership. We help low- to moderate-income individuals and families build wealth. We acquire distressed, delipidated housing and rehabilitate and sell or rent those properties to disabled and homeless veterans, ex-offenders, and first-time home buyers.
VHCDC is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt Community Development Corporation (CDC), a U.S. Treasury Certified Community Development Entity (CDE) and HUD approved Local Housing Counseling Agency (LHCA #90617). Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our tax identification number is: 20-0779486
