Wells Fargo Donates Hampton Duplex

Date Published: Sep 26, 2017
VHCDC announced today it has formally accepted a two-story duplex donated by Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.  The 1794sf, 4 bedroom, 2 bath property, located in the Phoebus community in the City of Hampton, furthers VHCDC's Neighborhood Revitalization Program - an initiative aimed at acquiring and rehabilitating distressed properties in select neighborhoods in Hampton Roads.

31-33 E Howard St. Hampton, VA

VHCDC intends to rehabilitate and upgrade the property for rental to local veterans and Hampton University students.  VHCDC launched its Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative to revitalize and enhance the quality, affordability, and efficiency of housing in Virginia’s low- and moderate-income neighborhoods.

According to James R Taylor, VHCDC President, "VHCDC designed its housing development activities to be an integral part of the revitalization and redevelopment of targeted low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, while setting new standards for housing quality, affordability, and energy efficiency.   We once again appreciate the confidence Wells Fargo has demonstrated in our ability to get the job done."

Hampton Roads residents may follow the progress on this and other project, including photos and other details, by visiting VHCDC's Facebook page.
