VHCDC today launched its Home Purchase Rebate Program for first-time and second chance home buyers. The Program provides a rebate to participants of its Home Ownership Assistance Program and attendees completing VHCDC Home Ownership classes in Hampton Roads. The rebate provides up to $1,500 to eligible home buyers to assist with their purchase and transition to home ownership.
The rebate is awarded solely to first-time and second-chance homebuyers currently residing in the cities of Chesapeake, Hampton, Isle of Wight, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Suffolk, and Isle of Wight and York County, Virginia. The property must be a single-family, owner-occupied residence. The property may not be used for commercial purposes. Program terms and conditions apply.
