Virginia Housing and Community Development Corporation (VHCDC) seeks to rebuild and revitalize distressed neighborhoods within our target communities.  Our programs, some of them currently under design and development, will focus on:

• Providing community capital to finance faith-based and non-profit initiatives, facility upgrades and expansion, neighborhood development projects, and housing rehabilitation and renovation;
   

• Providing education and training opportunities for residents and property owners that empower them to improve their quality of life and advance the quality of rental-housing stock in low-income, distressed neighborhoods within our target communities;
   

• Providing opportunities for community investment in affordable single-family homes, temporary shelters, and single-parent housing facilities; and,
   

• Providing resources and community investment opportunities for community and faith-based organizations to enhance the effectiveness, impact, and success of their core services;
